A Lectionary for campus ministries

Like many mainline churches, the Episcopal Church participates in using the Revised Common Lectionary: a resource that helps ensure we hear the breadth and depth of Scripture across three years, in a pattern that matches the seasons of the church year. But at Rockwell House and other campus ministries, our worship year is truncated, and the unedited RCL ends up leaving a lot of the big stories and teachings (Patriarchs and matriarchs! David and his family! Parables! Miracles!) out of our life together. This Lectionary for Campus Ministries, developed by the Rev. Beth Scriven and field tested at Rockwell House, offers a six year program that integrates the missing readings, minimizes repetition, and yet still syncs its rhythms with the rest of the church.
